Profile of Hon. Samuel Kofi Ahiave Dzamesi
Hon. Samuel Kofi Ahiave Dzamesi is a Ghanaian Engineer and Politician. He had his secondary education at St. Martins Secondary School in Nsawam from 1971 to 1977 for his O-level certificate, and at the Accra Academy from 1978 to 1980 for his A-level certificate. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi and a Diploma in Marketing.
In 2001 he was appointed Deputy Volta Regional Minister by H.E President John Agyekum Kufuor and was later appointed as the substantive Regional Minister for the Volta Region.
Hon. Samuel Kofi Ahiave Dzamesi served as Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs during the first term of His Excellency the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. As Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, he engaged feuding factions in various chieftaincy disputes in the country to find lasting solutions for peace including the Dagbon chieftaincy conflict. He also set up committees to strategize and facilitate yearly pilgrimages from Ghana to Israel and other Holy sites in the Christian world.
Hon. Samuel Kofi Ahiave Dzamesi was appointed by H.E. the President and confirmed by the Bui Power Authority Board of Directors as Chief Executive Officer on September 3rd, 2021.
Daniel the Co-Founder and Managing Director of HT Marine Offshore Logistics Limited, an Offshore logistics services company, which has served directly and indirectly with International and Local oil and gas players such as Tullow, ENI and Ghana National Gas company (Ghana Gas).
Scopes of work have included a myriad of vessel support services including STS support operations, marker bouy inspection services, data buoy recovery operations, and bio data sampling surveys to name a few.
Daniel is also an Executive Director at Harlequin International(GH) Limited, a company that offers services including subsea support, hydraulic repairs, engineering, fabrication, brush plating, sandblasting, mobile services and NDT testing. Harlequin offers quality general and industrial tooling, welding equipment & consumables as well as bulk cargo handling systems and high-pressure hydraulic systems.
Daniel is bilingual in French and English and is a very effective communicator. He brings to table a wealth of contacts and high attention to detail for all projects he is in involved in.
Daniel is an alumnus of University of Aberdeen-Scotland, where he obtained a joint Honors Degree in French and Legal Studies with a focus on Oil and Gas Law.
He is also an alumnus of the University of Warwick in Coventry, England, where he obtained an MSC in Supply Chain and Logistics Management. He also holds Diplomas in Strategic Management and Foundations of Management from London School of Economics, as well as Diplomas in French and Marketing from Science Po Rennes in France.
His other business interests include Real Estate, Manpower, Electrical Engineering, Specialized Communications, Beverage Manufacturing, and more recently through Harlequin, general and specialist Engineering Services.
